Chicago-based private investment firm The Vistria Group recently announced the opening of its new offices at 3 World Trade Center in Manhattan. This marks the third major U.S. city in which the company operates, following its established presences in Chicago and Dallas.

The new space — designed by NYC-based and women-owned brokerage and design firm Artisan — embraces the unique energy of New York City. Located on the 68th floor of the towering building, the office combines function and productivity with custom elements throughout the reception area and boardroom and features distinct work areas that allow the entire office to share sprawling city views.

“Vistria’s New York office opening reflects the continued growth of our organization and our expanding capabilities,” said Marty Nesbitt, Vistria co-CEO and senior partner. “NYC has a vibrant capital markets ecosystem with exceptional talent, and we view the city as another hub for future growth and a critical market to our impact-driven real estate strategy.”

Completed in 2009, the 3 World Trade Center tower at 175 Greenwich St. incorporates 2.5 million square feet of rentable Financial District office space. Located next to the WTC Transportation Hub, the property offers tenants direct access to 12 NYC subway lines and PATH trains to New Jersey.

Rising 80 stories above Greenwich Street, the tower features floorplates of 31,000 to 68,000 square feet; ceiling heights above standard; 360-degree Manhattan views; and three floors with access to outdoor terrace space. The property also includes 300,000 square feet of retail on five levels, including the ground floor, two below-grade levels and two levels above ground.

Other tenants that have signed lease agreements at 3 World Trade Center have included Asana; Axiom; Better.com; Casper; Cozen; O’Connor; DHG; Diageo; GroupM; Hana; Hudson River Trading; IEX; Kantar; Kelley Drye & Warren LLP; and Uber.

“I’ve spent my career at the forefront of impact investing in NYC and see a tremendous opportunity to further Vistria’s mission here,” said Margaret Anadu, senior partner of Vistria real estate. “NYC serves as a cornerstone market and base of real estate operations as we aim to deliver quality, affordable, and workforce housing to underserved communities across the U.S.”

Earlier this year, the firm also announced the doubling of its headquarters footprint and is now occupying a full floor at 300 E. Randolph, totaling 40,000 square feet of office space in the Chicago central business district.
