Dalfen Industrial Inks Lease with AERO Logistics in Charleston, S.C.
Dallas-based real estate investment management firm Dalfen Industrial recently announced the completion of a new lease agreement at the Eastport Distribution Center in Summerville, S.C.
The five-year lease incorporates nearly 81,000 square feet of metropolitan Charleston, S.C., industrial space and will accommodate asset-based service provider AERO Logistics — an Atlanta-based company that specializes in logistics and storage solutions in support of the cold-chain efforts of the third-party logistics, freight forwarding and airline communities.
The large Charleston infill site is just a 15-minute drive from the port and only 2.5 miles from the Charleston International Airport. As such, this lease provides AERO Logistics with a strategic, last-mile location off of Interstate 26, which runs south to the Port of Charleston and north to Greenville-Spartanburg.
“Dalfen Industrial is thrilled to provide this incredible, last-mile location on one of the fastest-growing MSAs in the U.S.,” said Kevin Caille, Dalfen Industrial’s market officer of the Southeast U.S. region.
The Eastport Distribution Center consist of two new, Class A industrial facilities totaling more than 550,000 square feet. Strategically located in the fast-growing Interstate 26 north Charleston industrial corridor, the buildings feature 36’ clear heights, 104 dock-high doors and four drive-in doors.
Dalfen — one of the largest privately owned industrial real estate firms in the United States — has become a leader in the last-mile property sector by focusing investments on strategically located urban infill warehouses and distribution buildings. The company currently owns and operates millions of square feet of premier industrial space throughout the United States.
The developer acquired the 75-acre Summerville site in 2021 and completed the first building of the business park by the end of 2022. Building two was scheduled for completion this year.
