In 1995, the building won the State Historical Preservation/Indiana Main Street award, as well as the Vanderburgh County historic preservation award, for most outstanding historical preservation of a building. The Restaurant opened in 1995 as Jungle Mornings Coffee, including two floors of restaurant service and the top floor as loft apartments.

Currently the building is known as The Jungle Restaurant and is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike as it is in prime location for the best that the Tri-State has to offer. This is an operational, turn-key restaurant with all relevant items included.
