Beam Suntory recently celebrated the grand opening of the company’s new office in New York City. The global leader in premium spirits — incorporating iconic brands such as Jim Beam®, Maker’s Mark®, Yamazaki and Hibiki — is a subsidiary of Suntory Group, a significant presence in the global beverage industry.

The new global headquarters of Beam Suntory already serves as the New York office of Suntory Group and will be home to more than 150 employees. Beam Suntory’s global brand house organization, select global corporate function roles, and the majority of its executive leadership team positions will be relocated from the company’s former global headquarters in Chicago. The latter will remain the headquarters for the North America region.

Occupying an entire floor at 11 Madison Ave., the state-of-the-art Manhattan office comes with great views of Madison Square Park and the New York City skyline. Notably, this location operates as one of the first few office spaces to integrate lessons from the pandemic and is designed and equipped to suit both in-person and hybrid collaboration. Free from traditional workplace concepts, this Flatiron District office space includes two bar areas, a tasting room, unique interactive conference rooms and flexible workstations.

“New York is one of the world’s most exciting and ever-evolving cities, enabling our people to be close to consumer trends and ‘where things happen’ — what we call the Gemba,” said President & CEO of Beam Suntory, Albert Baladi. “That’s why we chose to relocate Beam Suntory’s global headquarters here and why we’ve created an office that will harness the power of in-person collaboration as we return to more office-based work. We look forward to amplifying the creative energy of New York as we accelerate the premiumization of our brands and pursue our ambitious growth goals.”

“Today marks a historic moment for Suntory as we realize our ambition as a truly global company, opening a major office in one of the world’s biggest and most influential cities,” added CEO of Suntory Holdings, Tak Niinami. “By keeping ahead of consumer trends and exceeding expectations, we add value to our brands. My vision for Suntory is to deliver new, exciting, premium brand experiences to the world from here in New York. This new co-office for Suntory and Beam Suntory will also represent a unique opportunity to fully realize our East-meets-West advantage and take our ambitions to the next level.”

Occupying a full city block between Park Avenue South and Madison Avenue and 24th and 25th streets, SL Green Realty’s 11 Madison Ave. — formerly the Metropolitan Life North Building — is home to the North American headquarters of Credit Suisse, the U.S. headquarters of SONY, and the 3-Michelin-Star restaurant Eleven Madison Park. This premium location also means tenants here are only a short walk away from some of the neighborhood’s finest dining and retail locations.

The 30-story high-rise is LEED Gold-certified, features above-standard ceiling heights, and is highly accessible via several public transit stations that are located within less than one-quarter of a mile. It also has major street exposure along Madison Avenue and Park Avenue South. Additionally, Eleven Madison is also among the notoriously few big-box office properties on the island, featuring floor plates as large as 100,000 square feet.
