Originally developed in 1924 by A.W. Higgins, president of Florida Power, Bayboro Station might be considered as the building that powered it all.  This three-story building with office space for rent in St. Petersburg, is the former Bayboro Power Plant responsible for powering St. Petersburg through the growth boom of the 20’s.  For a half-century, Bayboro Station continued to power the city’s growth until eventually the plant was retired from service and replaced with modern energy solutions.
