About Mission Tower

The San Francisco building at 1800 Mission Street is also known as the San Francisco National Guard Armory and Arsenal. Built in 1912 - 1914, the building was constructed to replace the original San Francisco Armory that was destroyed in the quake and fire of 1906. With four stories, the expansive building has 200,000 square feet of office space for rent.

The most outstanding feature of this building is space. The expansive structure has high ceilings and flexible floor plans for businesses of every size. The building is secure, and not just because it looks like a fortress; security clearance is required of all tenants and guests at the entrance.

The office space is in a prime location near public transportation and freeways. There are various parking options nearby for the car commuter, and a Muni bus station can be found less than two blocks away at 16th and Mission.

Also known simply as the San Francisco Armory, the building certainly looks the part. The solid brick masonry, narrow windows and castle-like turrets make it look impenetrable. The tenant that appreciates a colorful history will enjoy knowing that the building served as the main venue for sporting events in the 20s through 40s, especially for prizefights. For the Star Wars aficionado, several spaceship interior scenes in Star Wars were filmed here. Tenants who want to work in a structure with plenty of history will enjoy this site.
